BeSTGRID

BeSTGRID provides services to the New Zealand research community, including Cluster Computing, High capacity distributed storage and collaboration services. The BeSTGRID website is at http://www.bestgrid.org/

EVO - A video collaboration solution that allows the use of a shared whiteboard, screen sharing and connection to H232 endpoints. As a minimum requires a microphone and speakers, though we would recommend a headset. A video camera is required if you wish to send a video stream of yourself. EVO is delivered as a Java web start application so does not need to be pre-installed on your pc or mac.

Sakai - A virtual research environment that lets users share documents, create a wiki, mailing lists and other services to help bring together distributed teams

OpenIdP - If your institution has not yet deployed Shibboleth authentication to allow you access to the increasing number of services that require an identity that is federated, you can register with the BeSTGRID Open Identity provider to get access.

GenePattern - A GenePattern service for BioInformatics will be going live soon. The BeSTGRID website will be updated with the latest information.

BioMirror - BeSTGRID hosts the New Zealand BioMirror which provides fast, local access to large biological datasets from overseas. These are regularly updated.
