To date, we have attempted to recruit an eResearch advisor for Massey University on two occasions and been unsuccessful. The current round of advertising for this position closed last week and we have yet to interview for the position. Consequently, progress on eResearch initiatives has been slow.

However, the Research Office is dedicating time over the next period to undertake a survey of eResearch@Massey. This review will determine current perception of eResearch across all faculties of the university whilst creating a knowledge base of research-led projects that fit the definitions of eResearch and developing a list of research staff who wish to participate in eResearch@Massey. The survey will also include a ‘stock-take’ of technical requirements and support required to undertake eResearch.
